We Didn't Meet With FG- Chibok Parents Denies Meeting Rumors

Reports from the Presidency have it that FG met with the parents of the abducted Chibok girls. The Minister of Power, Mohammed Wakil issued a statement through his media aide, Olawale Rasheed claiming to have met with some of the girls relatives on Thursday, March 5, 2015.

The Director of Publicity of the Kibaku Area Development Association, Allen Manasseh said that FG didn’t meet with the parents of Chibok and that the reports are false.

Manasseh said “Barrister Mohammed Wakil, the Minister of State for Power, was never in any meeting with any parent of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls. He met with some displaced people from his local government, Damboa,

“I know the details of the meeting and it was never intended for Chibok parents of the abducted girls. The Chibok people and many more from southern Borno are even very angry with Barrister Mohammed Wakil. Ever since our people kept suffering and are still languishing under the effects of terrorism, he never for once come anywhere near us; he never shows sympathy for our situations,

“Mohammed Wakil should bury his head in shame and and we are waiting for him in Chibok whenever he deems fit to visit. But he should stop deceiving Nigerians of what he has never done. The entire Chibok people are planning a media briefing to set the record straight.”
