I Not Leaving APC, I'm Here to Stay- Atiku Abubakar

Reports have it that former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar is getting ready to leave his party, APC and move to PDP in order to help Goodluck Jonathan with his campaign.

Atiku debunked the rumor, he said he’s in APC to stay and he’s not leaving the party.

Atiku released a statement on the issue, and it reads:

“I remain irrevocably committed to the APC, as I promised in my concession speech at the conclusion of our party’s presidential primaries, and has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the victory of General Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of our great party at the general elections,”

“I have backed my words and commitment with my resources to ensure that I bring my influence and support to bear on our party’s march to victory at all levels in the general election. That should be enough to shut up mischief makers bent on derailing the APC’s success at the March 28 and April elections,”

Atiku urged Nigerians to disregard the rumor. He took to his Twitter account to validate his intentions. He tweeted “Dear friends, I believe you’ve seen the mischievous press reports about me leaving APC. They are false,”

Atiku also stated that “Just three days ago, I convened the Adamawa APC stakeholders meeting, to reconcile members and ensure victory in the coming polls.”

“My commitment to the APC, including the various state secretariats which I help fund, is unshakable. As widely reported, I have since handed over my Media Office and policy document to the #GMB15 campaign.”
